Animating the news

There seems to be a growing trend emanating from Taiwan for almost instantaneously transforming the latest tabloid news into CGI animations. This one’s about the “Anna Chapman Sex Spy Scandal”:

A few days earlier we had the Al Gore and his “wanna see my hockey stick” sex scandal:

I haven’t made up my mind whether this is a good thing or not, just saying that’s two I’ve seen doing the rounds in less than a week.

Now if they put something like these on the Times paywalled site, they might start really coining it…
